The Art Project 7.0 was organized by AIESEC Colombo South in order to inspire local and foreign designing disciples from Sri Lankan traditional arts, Sri Lankan design theories, culture and essential teachings with the collaboration of industry experts.
This project served the purpose of to promote traditional arts to the globe and inspire local and foreign designing students to incorporate such elements in future projects. As a organizing committee presidents I have organized numerous workshops and sessions throughout the project to enhance the knowledge about Sri Lankan culture, evolution of fashion designing, and to improve the taste on new trends in the art and fashion industry. Whole activities were aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and the target of 11.4 (Strengthen efforts to protect and safeguard the world's cultural and natural heritage).
I have communicated and coordinated with the 29-international volunteers from different nations. Further I have developed my soft skills on sales, presentation, public speaking, event management, peace buildup international friendships with EPs: OCs and the local people in Sri Lanka and gained the ability of understanding and cooperating with different people along with sharing an unforgettable memories in Sri Lanka' s nature and beauty.
